Spiritually-Oriented Therapy
Janaki Tremaglio (she/her), LICSW
For much of my week I am a psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker for clients in Washington state. I work primarily with adults interested in using a spiritual focus for healing.
I also provide counseling to parents interested in understanding themselves and their children using the lenses of neuroscience, attachment, and spirituality.
Psychotherapy is an amazing place to clear your mind and heal your heart, creating channels for your spirituality to emerge. Trauma and oppression can lead to dysfunction and self destruction. This makes it hard to feel the peace, joy, and awareness that are our true nature.
I aim for our therapeutic alliance to feel like an attuned attachment relationship, where you can feel safe to share your struggles and express yourself freely. I can help you make the unconscious more conscious, and support your nervous system with triggers. Helping you cultivate a strong sense of self compassion and inspiration are foundational to my work.
We can explore spiritual philosophy and practices, based on your spiritual interests and intuition.
I am committed to supporting QTBIPOC people and evolving my social justice perspective.
If this resonates with you, you are welcome to contact me about starting psychotherapy. Sessions are $200 for 50 minutes. I have a few sliding scale spots.
I am currently in-network with Premera, Regence, Kaiser, United/Optum, and First Choice and I can provide superbills for out of network reimbursement with other plans.
Psychotherapy sessions are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday in person in my office in Fremont, Seattle. Telehealth sessions are available as needed.
My Social Work Training
My social work career began in 2005 working in programs for unhoused people and early intervention services for infants and toddlers in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
In 2016, I completed my Master of Social Work degree and a Graduate Certificate in Infant Mental Health at the University of Washington. My graduate internships were in (1) education policy advocacy for immigrants and refugees and (2) infant and early childhood mental health clinical practice.
I worked in community mental health as an infant & early childhood mental health therapist for two years postgraduate, and in 2018 I shifted into private practice to integrate my spiritual passion into my work.
I approach counseling from a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic framework, which means I see dynamics of the therapeutic relationship and understanding the dynamics throughout one's life as central to healing. I receive regular consultation on relational psychoanalysis to improve my work.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker for clients in the state of Washington, LW.60933756
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs.
Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
